Very funny idea and creation. I laughed alot because that's exactly how I'd react to the situation. Except I'd be dumb enough to go back in for an encore before I left work. XD
Heh, I know there's irony in doing so, but I had to share the hate. Anybody with a Facebook or whatever and posts boring shi- is getting this flash shoved in their face. :D I hate how people do exactly like he said... I really despise the sites as well, but am American, so have one. lol
Great job on your first game. Besides the glitched mentioned in your comments, the game is pretty flawless. Only thing I saw wrong besides those was there was a strong lag when watching clips for different missions, patsies, etc. Tighten up the time between the animations on the cutscenes and the rest is flawless. Great and smooth animation with a good diversity of enemy units and Patsies & #2 Henchmen.
Tips for improvement(or sequel? :D):
-Save button, so when glitches do happen we don't have to rely on loopholes, but can just save and reset to fix them.
-Armor/Air for Mastermind's forces so there's more than the generic minion and #2 Henchman hero units.
-Maybe a way to buy an upgradeable #2 Henchman, or have the #2 Henchman available to be eliminated in the meetings as well.
Good twist to make Hank a human character vs. a Madness one, tossed into a NG realm. I was expecting a reverse by Hank coming back as the Madness-style Hank after the ripping and oil bit though. lol
For those blamming saying "Watch Madness and redo!"... learn to read. "I wanted to give a twist to Hank's characters." is in plain sight.
Ok, fun mini-game frenzy. Got the fist rating and the password from it. My only suggestion is fix the site where you put it in. Mini-games are fun, but if you give the winner a cookie, don't give em a "1 free cookie" coupon they can't redeem, ya know? Fix it so I can know what's the point of a prize password and I'll give you the 10th cookie. 9/10 till you fix that. >.>
Great mini-games though for those lookin for a time killer.
'..without completely redoing the game...'?Redo it
You say you did alot to rework it without completely redoing it... You shoulda redone it.
VERY basic drawing design, poor fighting system, and repetitive/annoying sound/animation. You get hit once you're a punching bag, where's the block action or way to move AWAY from getting a beating? If that doesn't stop you, you can just move to each new enemy spawn part, stand in the middle, hold spacebar, and just watch the 1 fight animation go on forever as you just face the opponents as they get close, obviously melee only, you use the 'skills' to blast ranged ones. The healing stuff is very unbalanced as well, you get 2 or 3 on average per pickup area, and they are poor healing to begin with, ok, that's passable as a challenge thing, but when there is no way to stay alive once you're hit besides outlasting before the break in hits to move away, that's worthless. You burn up all your food in 1 attack if the enemy doesn't stop hitting you long enough to move.
I enjoy alot of games like this. Streets of Rage being a favorite, and possibly an influence on your work see'n as food is under barrels. But I didn't even play past the 1st level because it's rediculous to keep watching the character keep walking into its inevitable whuppin once enough hitters show up. Also, clean the instructions page for cryin out loud. It's very unorganized, and lacks simplicity. Put all attack info by the skills buttons if you're gonna do arrows, and put health and such at the bottom, not the other way around. I didn't know there was a regular attack until I looked at it a 2nd time because you put it in the very bottom.
SImply put, possibility for something great, but as it is now it's not even worth playing through to find out. Sure side-scrollers have limited animation, but the gameplay makes up for it. Here there is neither to entice more play. I will say the skills are nice, but pretty worthless compared to just holding down spacebar. You fixed things without redoing it, but frankly. Redo it man.
Simply amazing. Smoothly animated, great music, and well written. Very emotional and meaningful to musicians and those with troubled families alike. I would say I hope to see more like this, but this is a piece that probably couldn't be rivaled. Congratulations, this is an amazing work of art.
Good create-a-simpson, but few choices and options to change things with as compared to other character makers. Give more options, clothes, etc etc., and you're set though, because the music choices were enough for me to keep it open for alot longer than I would have without it.
Where you don't struggle to find a balanced diet, your food kicks ass to make sure you do instead! I love this concept, this definently has a future, bring on the bacon!
